Terms and Conditions
The agreement between you and us for using Stopzone. Section 4 is the most important part of it — please read it before you rely on the alarm.
Stopzone is a convenience alarm, not a safety service. It rings when your phone’s GPS says you are near a place you picked. GPS fails in tunnels, batteries die, phones get muted, and operating systems suspend apps. Do not rely on Stopzone in any situation where missing your stop would cause harm, loss, or danger. You remain responsible for your own journey. Section 4 says this at length and it is the most important thing in this document.

1Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms“) form a legally binding agreement between you and Shreyas Garehatti Sridhara regarding the Stopzone mobile application, the website at stopzone.app, and every related feature and service (together, the “Service“).
By downloading, installing, or using Stopzone you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service; delete the app.
Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. So are any supplemental terms we publish for a specific feature, which prevail over these Terms for that feature only, and only to the extent of a conflict.
We recommend you keep a copy of these Terms. You can download or print this page at any time.
2Who we are
Stopzone is operated by Shreyas Garehatti Sridhara, a sole proprietor (“we“, ”us“, ”our“), of Sri Krupa, 3rd Cross, 2nd Phase, Davalagiri Badavane, Chitradurga, Karnataka 577501, India.

3Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Stop | A destination you have saved: a name, a coordinate, and a wake radius |
| Zone | The circular area of the chosen radius around a Stop. Entering it is what fires the alarm |
| Session | One journey being watched, from the moment you tap Start until you are woken or the session ends |
| Wake Ladder | The escalating alert sequence — a spoken line through earphones, then a loud tone through the speaker |
| Safety Net | A backup alarm scheduled when a Session starts, which fires on a timer regardless of GPS |
| Stopzone Pro | The paid subscription that unlocks the Service |
| Support ID | The eight-character code shown in Settings that lets us recognise your subscription without an account |
4What Stopzone is, and what it is not
4.1 What it is
Stopzone is a convenience alarm. You pick a destination, tap Start when you board, and the app compares your phone’s reported position to that destination. When you enter the Zone, the app plays an alarm. That is the whole of what it does.
All of the distance calculation happens on your device. The alarm needs no network at all — nothing it depends on requires a connection, so it works in a tunnel, in Airplane Mode, and with no signal. If you have agreed to analytics, the app may send the events described in our Privacy Policy while a Session happens to be running; those events carry no Stop, no coordinate, and no distance, and they play no part in the alarm.
4.2 What it is not — please read this carefully
Stopzone is not a safety service, a safety device, or a personal-security product. The Night Out mode is a convenience preset — a different default radius and a louder ladder — and nothing more. We do not keep you safe, we do not watch over you, and no feature of the Service should be understood as doing so.
Stopzone is not a navigation, routing, or transit application. It shows distance to a fixed point. It does not know the route, the timetable, the traffic, the diversions, the replacement bus, or the platform. It cannot tell you which stop is correct or whether your service is running.
Stopzone does not predict arrival times, and it never will. The Service deliberately displays no estimated time of arrival anywhere, with a single exception: the Safety Net line states a floor (“by 08:45”), meaning the backup alarm will not ring later than that time. It is not a forecast of your arrival and must never be read as one.
Stopzone is not a medical, health, sleep, or wellness product. The “Reclaimed” counter adds up minutes of session time and nothing more. It measures no aspect of your sleep or your health, and we make no health, sleep-quality, or medical claim of any kind.
Stopzone is not a substitute for your own attention. You remain responsible for knowing where you are going, for getting off at the right stop, and for the consequences of not doing so.
4.3 The alarm can fail, and here is a non-exhaustive list of how
We have built the Service so that every failure mode we can foresee still ends in an alarm ringing, including a Safety Net alarm scheduled on a timer at the start of every Session precisely so that a total GPS failure still produces an alert. But we cannot and do not guarantee that an alarm will sound, at the right time, or at all. In particular, an alarm may not fire, may fire late, or may fire early because of:
- loss or degradation of GPS — tunnels, deep cuttings, underground stations, dense urban canyons, metal-bodied vehicles, and heavy weather all reduce accuracy or remove the signal entirely;
- the accuracy limits of consumer GPS, which in urban conditions is typically good to only 100–200 metres, so a tightly drawn Zone may be smaller than the uncertainty in your own position;
- your device’s battery running out, or entering Low Power Mode, which throttles background activity;
- the volume being low or muted, or Apple’s Attention-Aware Features quietly reducing alert volume when the phone judges you are looking at it. We warn you when volume is low at Session start, but we never change your volume for you;
- headphones being connected, disconnected, out of range, out of battery, or worn by someone else;
- iOS suspending, throttling, or terminating the app, which the operating system may do at any time and for its own reasons;
- you or someone else force-quitting the app. On iOS 17 to 25 there is no way for us to recover from this beyond a local notification, which is why the Session screen tells you not to swipe the app away. On iOS 26 and later, Apple’s AlarmKit provides a safety net;
- the phone being switched off, restarted, or in Airplane Mode with Location Services disabled;
- permissions being denied, revoked, or downgraded to “Allow Once”;
- your journey not going where you expected — a diversion, a terminated service, a rail replacement, or the wrong vehicle;
- the wrong Stop or the wrong radius having been chosen, including a radius so small that GPS uncertainty swallows it;
- starting a Session when you are already inside the Zone, in which case the alarm does not arm until you have left the Zone once — the app tells you this on screen;
- hardware or software faults, defects, or bugs, in your device, in iOS, or in our app.
Because of all of the above: do not use Stopzone in any circumstance where failing to be woken would cause you or anyone else harm, injury, loss, or danger. If being woken matters that much, set a second, independent alarm, ask someone to wake you, or stay awake.
4.4 About loudness
Stopzone plays audio through your device’s media volume channel rather than the ringer channel that system alarms use, which is why it rings through the Silent switch and through Focus modes, and why in practice it is often louder than a standard alarm. It cannot exceed your device’s hardware and operating-system volume ceiling. No app can. We make no claim that Stopzone is louder than any possible alarm, and any impression to the contrary is not one we intend or accept responsibility for.
5Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you are.
You must also have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and you must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of your country. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
If you are under 18 in your jurisdiction, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian, and any purchase should be made with their permission and with their payment method where applicable.
The Service is not tailored to any industry-specific regulatory regime, so if your use would be subject to laws such as HIPAA, FISMA, or GLBA, you may not use it.
6Subscriptions, payment, and cancellation
6.1 What is paid for
Stopzone requires an active Stopzone Pro subscription. There is no free tier beyond the onboarding experience and the in-app demo.
6.2 Plans and prices
| Plan | US list price | Auto-renews |
|---|---|---|
| Yearly | $39.99 | Every 12 months |
| Monthly | $9.99 | Every month |
| Weekly | $4.99 | Every week |
Prices differ by country and are set through App Store storefronts, including regionally adjusted pricing. The price you see on the paywall and in the App Store, in your own currency and including any tax Apple collects, is the price that applies. Every price in the app is read live from Apple’s StoreKit; we hard-code none. If a price in this document ever disagrees with what the App Store shows you at the moment of purchase, the App Store is correct.
6.3 Free trials
Where a free trial is offered it is stated on the paywall before you buy. At the date of these Terms, the trial is 1 week on the Yearly plan and 3 days on the Monthly plan; the Weekly plan has no trial.
- Trials are for new subscribers only, and eligibility is determined by Apple, not by us. If you have previously used a trial or held a subscription in the same subscription group, Apple may find you ineligible and charge you immediately.
- Apple allows one trial per subscription group, so taking the Monthly trial makes you ineligible for the Yearly trial and vice versa.
- A trial converts automatically into a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- If you cancel during a trial you keep access until the trial ends, and you are not charged.
6.4 How you are billed
Apple is the merchant of record for every purchase. Payment is taken by Apple through your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, and subsequently at each renewal. We never see, receive, or store your payment card details.
Your purchase is also subject to Apple’s own terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the standard End User Licence Agreement referenced in section 23.
6.5 Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically. Apple charges your Apple Account within 24 hours before the end of the current period, for another period of the same length, at the then-current price, and it will keep doing so until you cancel. You consent to these recurring charges.
6.6 How to cancel
Cancel in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. The app also opens this screen for you from Settings → Manage subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or Apple may take the next payment. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until that period expires.
We cannot cancel your subscription for you. Only you, through Apple, can do that. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
6.7 Price changes
We may change prices. Where a price rise affects an existing subscription, Apple notifies you in advance and, depending on the size of the change and your region, either asks you to consent or lets you cancel before it takes effect. If you do not accept a price change, cancel before the next renewal.
6.8 What happens if your subscription lapses
Your data is not deleted. Your stops, your history, your alarms, and your progress are all stored on your device and are untouched by a lapse. The app opens to the paywall; resubscribe and everything is exactly as you left it.
6.9 Refunds
Apple handles all refunds. We cannot issue one, and we cannot see your payment method.
Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides according to its own policies and applicable law.
If you are in the EU, the EEA, or the UK, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. That right is exercised against Apple as the seller, through the link above.
If Apple declines and you believe you have been treated unfairly, write to us at support@stopzone.app. We cannot move money, but we can grant a promotional entitlement — free access for a period — as a goodwill gesture, entirely at our discretion.
6.10 Promotional entitlements and offer codes
We may grant free or discounted access through RevenueCat promotional entitlements or App Store offer codes. These are gifts, not purchases: they carry no cash value, are not refundable or transferable, may be limited in time, and may be withdrawn if obtained through misrepresentation or abuse.
6.11 Restoring purchases
Because there is no account, a fresh install generates a new anonymous identifier. Use Restore Purchases — available both on the paywall and in Settings — to re-link your subscription through your Apple Account. This works on any device signed in to the same Apple Account.
6.12 Taxes
Prices shown in the App Store include any tax Apple is required to collect in your region. You are responsible for any other tax that applies to you.
7Your licence to use the app
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use Stopzone on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the App Store’s Usage Rules.
We reserve every right not expressly granted. You get a licence to use the app; you do not get ownership of anything.
8Requirements, and what you must do for the alarm to work
8.1 What you need
- An iPhone running iOS 17.0 or later. Stopzone is iPhone-only and portrait-only; there is no iPad layout.
- Location permission granted as While Using the App. Without it the Service cannot work at all. We never ask for, and never receive, Always permission.
- Enough battery to last your journey, and a volume level you can hear.
- An internet connection only to search for a stop by name, to purchase or restore a subscription, and to fetch our optional configuration. The alarm itself needs no connection.
8.2 What we ask of you
These are not formalities; they are the difference between the alarm working and not working:
- Do not force-quit the app during a Session. On iOS 17 to 25 this removes our ability to wake you beyond a local notification. The Session screen says so while a Session is running.
- Keep the volume up and check the warning we show you if it is low.
- Choose a sensible radius. A radius near the 300-metre floor can be smaller than the accuracy of the GPS position itself. The app tells you this wherever the slider appears.
- Grant notification permission if you want the backup alarm on iOS 17 to 25.
- Check that you picked the right stop. We cannot know which stop is correct for your journey.
8.3 A demonstration is built in
Settings contains “Demo a session”, which runs the real engine against a simulated approach so you can see and hear exactly what the alarm does before you depend on it. We recommend running it once. It exists because you should not have to take our word for any of this.
9No account, and what your Support ID is
There is no account, no login, no password, and no sign-up. We never ask for your email address to use the Service.
Your subscription is recognised through the anonymous identifier Apple and RevenueCat associate with your purchase. Settings shows a short, human-readable projection of it — your Support ID, formatted like A7K2-9QX4. Include it when you write to us, so that we can find your subscription record.
The Support ID is not a password and grants nothing. It cannot be used to log in, to buy anything, to change anything, or to access anyone’s data, and no part of our system will accept it as proof of entitlement. It is safe to share with us and, if you like, in a public support forum.
You are responsible for the security of the device the app is installed on. Because a subscription is tied to an Apple Account, anyone with access to that Apple Account may be able to use or restore it.
10Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt, or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it notwithstanding this restriction;
- modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the app;
- remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice;
- circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature, any subscription check, or any limitation on use, or use any tool or modified client intended to obtain paid access without paying;
- use the Service for any revenue-generating enterprise, or resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise transfer access to it;
- make the app available over a network so that multiple devices or users can use it at once;
- use the Service to build a competing or substantially similar product, or to gather information for that purpose;
- use automated systems — bots, scrapers, spiders, crawlers, or scripts — against the Service or our backend, or send automated queries to our endpoints;
- interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Service, our backend, or any network connected to it, including by attempting to defeat our rate limits;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, any account, or any system;
- upload or transmit any virus, malware, or other harmful code; or
- harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate us or anyone providing support on our behalf.
If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to support@stopzone.app rather than exploiting it, and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix it before disclosing it. We will not pursue action against good-faith security research conducted within these bounds.
Breach of this section is a material breach and may result in immediate termination under section 16.
11Availability, changes, and remote configuration
11.1 The app works when we are offline
The Service is built so that it functions fully with our backend unreachable. Configuration falls back to values compiled into the app; subscription state is cached locally by the RevenueCat SDK. We cannot lock you out of your alarm by having an outage, and we have made sure of it deliberately.
11.2 We do not promise uptime
We do not warrant that the Service, the website, or our backend will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We may perform maintenance. Subject to section 18.3, we are not liable for any loss or inconvenience arising from downtime or discontinuation.
If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give reasonable notice in the app where we can, and you may cancel your subscription through Apple so that it does not renew.
11.3 Remote configuration and kill switches
Parts of the Service — the paywall, onboarding, default values, and feature flags — are configured remotely so that we can improve them without waiting for App Store review. A kill switch may disable an individual feature, such as Travel mode or the earphone stage of the Wake Ladder, or display an operational notice.
Remote configuration can never change how or when the alarm fires. The radius floor, the polling intervals, the fire thresholds, the speed clamp, the Safety Net buffer, and the Wake Ladder timing are compiled into the app, shipped through App Store review, and unreachable from any server response. This boundary is verified by automated tests on every change, and it is not a matter of policy that we could quietly relax.
11.4 Updates
We may release updates, and iOS may install them automatically depending on your settings. Some updates are necessary for the Service to keep working. We may require a minimum app version where an older one is unsafe or broken; where we do, the app tells you and links you to the App Store rather than simply failing.
11.5 Beta and experimental features
We may label a feature as beta or experimental, or run A/B tests on commercial surfaces such as the paywall. Beta features are provided as-is, may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and are excluded from any warranty to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12Intellectual property
The Service, and everything in it — the source code, the design, the interface, the artwork, the sounds, the voice recordings, the text, the “Stopzone” name and wordmark, the zone-ring mark, and the distinctive vocabulary of the product including “Zone”, “Wake Ladder”, “Safety Net”, “Stopzone”, and “Reclaimed” as used here — is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws in India and internationally.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any of it to you. You may not use our name, marks, or branding without our prior written permission, except for ordinary descriptive reference to the product.
Third-party components are used under their own licences; the app’s Settings lists acknowledgements where required.
13Feedback and suggestions
If you send us an idea, a suggestion, a bug report, or any other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully-paid, sublicensable licence to use it for any purpose, without any obligation to compensate, credit, or notify you, and without any obligation of confidentiality. Please do not send us anything you consider confidential or proprietary.
Nothing in this section takes ownership of anything you create separately from the Service. Stopzone has no user-generated content feature: no posting, no messaging, no profiles, and no sharing of anything but a fixed link and a locally generated summary image you choose to send yourself.
14Third-party services
The Service depends on the following third parties, each governed by its own terms and privacy policy:
| Party | Role |
|---|---|
| Apple | Distribution, payments, MapKit search and geocoding, AlarmKit, notifications |
| RevenueCat | Subscription state management |
| Mixpanel | Product analytics, with your consent |
| Google Firebase | Crash reporting and app analytics, with your consent |
| Convex | Backend hosting for configuration and entitlement records |
| Vercel | Website hosting |
We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their accuracy, or their acts and omissions. In particular, we are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of Apple’s map, place, or geocoding data — if Apple’s map places a stop in the wrong position, our alarm will use that position.
Links from the Service to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not endorse them and are not responsible for their content.
15Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do and do not process, and forms part of these Terms.
The short version: your location never leaves your phone, all distance calculation is on-device, and our backend holds only an anonymous subscription record, a public configuration document, and hashed rate-limit counters.
Our backend is hosted in the United States and we operate from India. By using the Service you understand that the limited information described in the Privacy Policy is processed in those countries under the safeguards named there.
16Term and termination
These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service.
You may end this agreement at any time by cancelling your subscription with Apple and deleting the app. Deleting the app removes all of your on-device data permanently.
We may suspend or terminate your access — immediately and without notice — if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use presents a genuine risk to the Service or to other users. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to put it right.
If we terminate your access other than for your breach, and you have paid for a period you can no longer use, we will help you seek a proportionate refund from Apple.
Termination does not affect any right or liability that accrued before it. Sections 4, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 26 survive termination.
17Disclaimer of warranties
If you use the Service as a consumer, the exclusions in this section apply only to the extent the law allows. Your statutory warranty and conformity rights — including your rights in respect of digital content or a digital service that is not as described, not fit for purpose, or not of satisfactory quality — are unaffected by anything below. In Germany, your rights under §§ 327 ff. BGB are not excluded, limited, or shortened by these Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and without warranty of any kind.
We disclaim all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement.
Without limiting section 4, we specifically do not warrant that:
- the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;
- any alarm will fire, will fire at the intended moment, or will wake you;
- the location reported by your device will be accurate;
- the map, place, or geocoding data supplied by Apple will be accurate or current;
- any defect will be corrected; or
- the Service will meet your requirements or expectations.
No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from us or through the Service creates any warranty not expressly stated here.
Nothing in this section limits any warranty or right that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, in which case some of the above may not apply to you and you may have additional rights — see section 22.
18Limitation of liability
Please read this section carefully. It limits what you can recover from us.
18.1 Excluded losses
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, anticipated saving, or data, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if we have been advised of the possibility.
This expressly includes — and this is the point of the section — any loss, cost, inconvenience, or damage arising from an alarm that did not fire, fired late, fired early, or was not heard, including a missed stop, a missed connection, a missed appointment, a missed flight, an extra fare, a taxi home, a night in a hotel, lost wages, or being stranded.
18.2 The cap
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and subject always to section 18.3, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise — is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you actually paid us or Apple for Stopzone in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (US$50).
18.3 What we never exclude
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- gross negligence or wilful misconduct;
- liability under applicable product liability legislation, including the German Produkthaftungsgesetz;
- breach of an essential contractual obligation (Kardinalpflicht) — an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of this agreement possible in the first place, and on whose fulfilment you may routinely rely. Where we breach such an obligation through ordinary negligence, our liability is not excluded and is not subject to the cap in section 18.2; it is instead limited to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for an agreement of this kind at the time it was entered into; or
- any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where the law that applies to you does not recognise a concept above, that bullet simply does not apply to you, and the rest of this section stands.
18.4 Why this allocation is reasonable
Stopzone costs a few dollars a month, is sold with an explicit and prominent statement that it must not be relied upon where failure would cause harm (section 4), and ships with a built-in demonstration so that you can verify its behaviour before depending on it. The price reflects this allocation of risk. If you are not willing to accept it, do not use the Service.
19Indemnity
This section does not apply to you if you use the Service as a consumer. It applies only where you use the Service in the course of a business, trade, craft, or profession.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) brought by a third party and arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or of any third party’s rights.
We will notify you of any such claim and may, at your expense, assume its exclusive defence and control, in which case you agree to cooperate.
20Governing law
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of the country in which you habitually reside, where those provisions apply to you and cannot be derogated from by agreement. See section 22.
21Dispute resolution
21.1 If you are a consumer, read this first
Sections 21.3 and 21.4 do not apply to you to the extent that mandatory law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, or renders an arbitration agreement or a class-action waiver unenforceable against consumers. In that case you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and we will bring any proceedings against you there.
This is not a narrow exception. In the European Union, the EEA, and the United Kingdom it applies to most consumers as a matter of course: a consumer may sue in their own courts regardless of what this agreement says, and in Germany an arbitration agreement with a consumer is not binding unless it is contained in a separately signed document, which these Terms are not.
21.2 Talk to us first
Most problems are a support ticket, not a lawsuit. Before starting any formal proceeding, please email support@stopzone.app with a description of the dispute and what you would like us to do. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve it informally for thirty (30) days from that notice.
21.3 Arbitration
Subject to section 21.1, if informal resolution fails, any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms — including any question about their existence, validity, or termination — shall be referred to and finally resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India, including any statutory modification of it.
- Number of arbitrators: one
- Seat and legal place: Bangalore, India
- Language: English
21.4 No class actions
Subject to section 21.1, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, arbitration is limited to the dispute between you and us individually. No arbitration may be joined with another proceeding, conducted on a class or representative basis, or brought on behalf of the general public.
21.5 Exceptions
The following are not subject to sections 21.2 to 21.4, and may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction: claims to enforce or protect intellectual property rights; claims arising from allegations of piracy, unauthorised access, or theft; and applications for injunctive or other equitable relief. You may equally bring a claim of any kind in a court of competent jurisdiction where section 21.1 gives you that right.
22Your rights as a consumer
If you use the Service as a consumer, you may have rights under the law of your country that these Terms cannot and do not affect. Nothing here excludes, restricts, or modifies any such right.
European Union, EEA, and United Kingdom. You retain your statutory rights, including your rights in respect of digital content that is not as described or not of satisfactory quality, and your right of withdrawal in respect of the purchase. Because Apple is the seller, exercise the withdrawal right and any conformity claim through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Germany. Ihre gesetzlichen Verbraucherrechte, insbesondere das Widerrufsrecht und die Gewährleistungsrechte, bleiben unberührt. Der Kauf erfolgt über Apple als Verkäufer.
Australia. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in section 17 or 18 excludes those guarantees; where we are liable under them, our liability is limited as permitted by that law.

23Apple-specific terms
Apple requires the following, and it applies when you obtain Stopzone from the App Store:
- These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple is not a party to them.
- If these Terms conflict with Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/), that agreement prevails to the extent of the conflict, and these Terms otherwise supplement it.
- Your licence is non-transferable and limited to Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s Usage Rules, including Family Sharing where Apple enables it.
- We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content, and for providing any maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support.
- Warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation at all. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we — not Apple — are solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- Export. You confirm you are not located in a country under a US government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance Apple has the right — and is deemed to have accepted it — to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- Contact. For questions, complaints, or claims about the app, contact us at support@stopzone.app.
24Changes to these terms
We may change these Terms. The version number and date at the top tell you which version you are reading.
For material changes — anything that meaningfully affects your rights, your obligations, the price, or how the Service works — we will give you at least 30 days’ notice in the app or by a prominent notice on the website before they take effect, and where the law requires your consent we will ask for it. For minor changes, such as correcting a typo or clarifying wording, the updated Terms apply when posted.
If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service and cancel your subscription through Apple before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
25Electronic communications
Using the Service and emailing us are electronic communications. You consent to receive communications from us electronically, and you agree that any agreement, notice, or disclosure we provide electronically satisfies any legal requirement that it be in writing.
We will only email you if you email us first, or where a legal or a critical service notice requires it. We run no marketing mailing list. In-app messages are limited to operational notices — an incident, a required update, or a change to these Terms.
26Miscellaneous
Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any supplemental terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service, and replace any prior understanding.
Severability. If any provision is held unlawful, void, or unenforceable, it is severed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, on notice to you.
Force majeure. Subject to section 18.3, we are not liable for any failure or delay caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, including an act of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial action, epidemic, failure of a utility or telecommunications network, a change in law, or the failure of a third-party service on which the Service depends.
No partnership. Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship.
Interpretation. These Terms will not be construed against us merely because we drafted them. Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation”.
Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only, and the English version prevails in the event of a conflict, except where mandatory law in your country provides otherwise.
Export control and sanctions. You must comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws in your use of the Service.
